Dimitris Bouras is an International Photojournalist – researcher active since 1980.
He specialises in humanitarian issues such as poverty, social inequality and war. He has covered stories in Greece, Bosnia, Kosovo, member-states of the former USSR, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, etc. He practices investigative journalism and in recent years his research focuses on new forms of war, conducting anthropological, sociological research and strategic international relations through a comparative study of the war in the area of M. East / Levant (Afghanistan – Iraq – Syria – Lebanon) and the Caucasus region (Ukraine – Nagorno Karabakh – Ossetia). He cooperates mainly with Think Tanks and Universities (the US & the UK).
